oh when i moved to brooklyn
life finally started to come together
facing shit i didn't wanna face
that's when i escaped to myspace
and the feeling that it gave me
artistic community
fame would come to me eventually
and i'm still not sure that it ever happened
i went to a show every night
i got mugged a couple times
i just wasn't used to feeling fine
and the grass is green and doing fine
so glad i escaped a life
that surely wasn't mine
and i had this thing called knight school
and yeah it was something special
but it felt like a cautionary tale
of power and how you wield it
then it crumbled and i was so defeated
and life just catches up with you.
